Finding an establishment that was able to do my autistic son's haircut was a feat of its own. Thankfully, I had called this business a few weeks ago and the gentleman I had spoken with assured me that they specialize with servicing autistic children. My son has strong sensory issues. But this place was a blessing. The barber who did my son's hair was an absolutely sweetheart. His name is Elliott, I believe. He was very attentive, upbeat, and super understanding. He was exceptional at maneuvering delicate sensory issues and did the very best he could given my son's shortcomings. He even gave my son a sucker to help calm him. That was much appreciated. At the end, I did find out that payment is only by cash or virtual charge. I don't do virtual payments like apple, zelle, cash app, ect. I guess I'm antiquated in that sense. But I was able to pay with my debit card via another barber. That was totally MY FAULT for not asking beforehand if debit was okay. I had just presumed it was like Supercuts where I always pay with my debit card. While it's a cash and virtual-payment-only, a minor oversight on my part, the quality of service won me over. While it is located in a rougher area of Fresno, the facility itself is welcoming and very uniquely decorated. The staff are kind and warm-hearted, making the experience extremely comfortable. I've had horrendous experiences with other places due my son's outbursts. It was never the fault of the establishment. But my son was unable to get his haircut due to the approach and his outbursts. If you have a special needs child, I highly recommend giving this business a shot. This salon is an absolute blessing for parents of children with autism. Five Stars from me - we'll definitely be returning! (This time with cash lol).

Always a great time when i come to Pit stop barbershop. Chris Is always professional, and on time. He’s been cutting hair for over 10 years now and has expertise on his belt to provide great service. Nicko is also very skilled and will give you a great haircut. The shop has a car theme and great family environment, i recommend anyone looking for a new barbershop to come here and check it out for yourself, they usually do online booking through Booksy but will also take walk ins.

Great experience! Thank you to my boy Ozzy for taking me as a last minute walk in! My barber just had his baby and I had a funeral to attend. There are multiple experienced and talented barbers in this location. Chris has been a great friend of mine since middle school, his brother Nico, Nikki, Elliot, Mason, are some names worth mentioning. However being a barber myself I was super impressed with Ozzys hospitality, I’m old school and I feel lots of people lack that old school conversations in the barbershop nowadays, Ozzy kept me entertained and had me out in 45 minutes with a fresh high taper. Thank You guys

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Nikki at Pit Stop for close a year now. As long as she’s there I’ll be going. Her Diamond Service haircut is a different level of service. Her attention to detail and skills are second to none. The shop as a whole has a great vibe as well.

I laid out the stakes and boy did he deliver. First haircut ever on the west coast and it was a great experience. Hardly any wait, tons of seating and space. My haircut went by quick but precisely done. I showed the Gentleman a photo I want, he copy and pasted it on me easy. Parking was gracious, the vibe was nice. I would recommend. I won't be showing my cut since I want my DMs only for my wife, but if you want your Dms full, my barber wears a hat, just saying. Great experience.

Such an awesome place! Google did not disappoint recommending them.I had Elliott (I hope I spelled his name correctly!) and Mason do my boys hair And it was such an AMAZING experience. The shop is unique and style and the vibes are great. One of my sons is autistic and I have NEVER seen him do so well getting his hair cut. The cuts are so handsome and both barbers went above and beyond to give my kiddos THE BEST experience. This will be our go to spot and I can't wait to go back!!
